Capt. Dan grew up in Rockport, a small town on the coast of Massachusetts. The local harbor, where the family boat was kept, was just down the street. Young Dan was on the water nearly every day each Summer, fishing or just exploring the coast. In 1987, Capt. Dan began sailing on San Francisco Bay. After 22 years of sailing, Capt.
